3 hospitalized after fire in mobile home | Techy Kings

AUBURN HILLS, MI. Three people were taken to a local hospital following a fire at a mobile home early Monday, Oct. 31, in Auburn Hills, authorities said.

Around 1:16 a.m. The Auburn Hills Fire Department was dispatched to a fire in the 300 block of North Squirrel in the Oakland Estates Mobile Home Park, according to a news release. When crews arrived on scene, they found the back of the building engulfed in flames, as well as the deck and shed.

All residents fled the home before firefighters arrived, the report said.

When firefighters entered the structure, they found the fire burning in the attic and under the mobile home, the release said. Crews went out and fought the fire from outside, extinguishing most of it with hand ropes and aerial apparatus.

Two residents and a firefighter were transported to local hospitals for medical emergencies that occurred during the incident, the release said.

The Auburn Hills Police Department and the Rochester Hills and Bloomfield Township fire departments assisted at the scene.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
