BC people now have an easier way to access their health records with the launch of the Health Gateway mobile app.

“More than 1.2 million of people in BC use the Health Gateway website, and now we’re launching a mobile app to make it easier and more convenient for people to securely access their health records,” said Health Minister Adrian Dix. “With the app, people can quickly view their health information at any time and help them stay on top of their health and wellness needs.”

Health Gateway is a new, secure version of the Health Gateway website app that anyone can download for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play for Android mobile devices. Users will need to use their BC Services Card app to sign up and log in.

People can use the Health Gateway app to easily access and view:

  • prescription drugs;
  • laboratory results, including blood tests and COVID-19 test results;
  • health checks, including date of visit and name of provider; and
  • immunization records, including proof of vaccination against COVID-19, such as a BC vaccine card and federal proof of vaccine.

Over time, the app will also provide people with easy and secure access to diagnostic imaging reports, clinical documents and details of hospital visits and other features.

The government continues to work towards making health records and health digital systems easier to access for all people in the province. The Health Gateway website continues to be available for people to access information about their health.
