Bengaluru: PC brand Acer India on Tuesday announced the launch of its second laptop — the Aspire 3 — under its Make in India programme.
The company has revealed that the price point it aims to bring is below Rs 30,000 and Acer believes this is a unique price point which “we don’t see any other competing models made in India”.
“Acer Aspire 3 is the first laptop under the Aspire series to be manufactured according to international standards with international processes to deliver performance and quality that the customer demands,” said GS Sondhi, Senior Director – Product Management, Acer India, in a statement.
“Built on the Intel platform, this laptop provides enough power to see you through your day to work, study, or general use,” says Sondi.
The laptop is manufactured at a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Noida. This is the second laptop to roll off the production line after the popular TravelMate series of laptops.
The Aspire 3 laptop is powered by an Intel processor, offering class-leading performance and features that enable the Acer Aspire 3 to handle everyday tasks with ease and to enable entry-level PCs and a great value proposition for India’s digital development.
We are manufacturing desktops, all-in-one PCs and tablets in India, with this new initiative, starting with the TravelMate series laptop and now the Aspire 3 series laptop for the core segment,” the company said.
The company said it will focus on manufacturing laptops under value segment, flagship segment and education segment with leading partners like Intel.
