Before the festive season, airfare from Delhi, Mumbai And to Kolkata Patna Off-peak season rates have more than tripled.



On October 22, a flight from Delhi to Patna was priced at Rs 14,000, while the airfare from Mumbai to Patna went up to Rs 20,000. The current fare to Patna from both these places is higher than the Delhi to Sharjah rate which is Rs 11,000. The current ticket price from Delhi to Bangkok is Rs 10,500, and Delhi to Singapore is Rs 13,000. Air ticket from Kolkata to Patna has been reduced to Rs 10,500.

Airline companies were taking advantage of flexible fares during peak seasons. Experts believe that the increase may continue.

Air tickets to other cities like Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Surat and others have also increased.

The main reason for the increase in air fares is the non-availability of train tickets. The waiting lists for trains are long and equal. Tatkal Tickets are not available.

Meanwhile, Northern Railway has decided to run 32 additional miles and express trains to Patna, Muzaffarpur, Darbhanga. Jayanagar, Kishanganj, Katihar, and Browni (Begusarai) to provide some relief to the passengers. The authorities are claiming to run a total of 211 trains till Chath Pooja. Trains will start from Jammu, Amritsar, Ferozepur, Delhi, Bhiwani and Pathankot.
