SEOUL, REPUBLIC OF KOREA, 2022 November 19 / – Neubility, Korea’s Autonomous Mobile Robot Platform (CEO: Lee Sang-min), Nov 18 announced that its self-driving robot Neubie has won the CES 2023 Innovation Award in the Smart Cities category.

The CES Innovation Awards is an annual competition for consumer electronics and ICT products for outstanding design and engineering. For this event, a panel of industry experts thoroughly reviews candidate products from around the world before the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) of the United States finally selects the highest products of technological excellence and innovation.

Neubie is an autonomous mobile robot designed for stable self-driving in urban environments with a high level of positional error and complexity. The robot uses multi-camera V-SLAM instead of expensive LiDAR sensors, and is designed to accurately position itself even in high-density urban centers using embedded technologies including “sensor fusion AI-based obstacle recognition/avoidance logic.” and “driving condition recognition/driving path detection”. Based on the research and development efforts of the past two years, it is now as competitive as LiDAR-based self-driving technology, successfully solving the problem of high production costs, which is the biggest barrier to innovation in the delivery market, and thus taking a step closer. to full commercialization.

Building on Neubie’s technological capabilities and commercial capabilities, Neubility has been actively conducting demonstration projects in key downtown locations, including Seoul and Songdo in Korea, and plans to commercialize autonomous golf course delivery services by the end of this year. In addition, last October it signed a memorandum of understanding with last-mile logistics solutions provider Goggo Network in Europe, which is testing autonomous mobile robot delivery services in Spanish city centers and taking its first step into global markets.

“I am very honored to see that our autonomous mobile robot Neubie has been selected as one of the innovative products of the future at CES, the most influential ICT exhibition in the world. With accumulated operational experience, we will do our best to be more competitive in technology and quickly establish ourselves in the self-driving robot markets at home and abroad. Neubility CEO Lee Sang-min said.

CES, one of the largest consumer electronics and IT trade shows in the world, is organized by the US Consumer Technology Association (CTA) every January in Las Vegas, USA. Neubie, selected as a winner of the CES 2023 Innovation Awards, is scheduled to be unveiled at CES 2023 in 2023. January 5-8
