ST. GEORGE, Utah– The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) would like to remind visitors that the application process available through the new mobile Coyote Buttes North (The Wave) and Coyote Buttes South Daily Lottery is open every day, including Thanksgiving, Christmas or New Year’s years. Due to the move to mobile daily lotteries, this will be the first year that multi-day, in-person drawings will not be held on holidays.
Applicants selected through the Coyote Buttes North Daily Lottery mobile app must pick up their permits and attend a safety briefing that begins at 8:30 a.m. sharp. Permit pickup and safety briefing at Coyote Buttes South begins at 9:00 a.m. I am every day.
Successful mobile daily lottery applicants can now pick up their passes at two locations: the Kane County Tourism Visitor Center office at 78 S 100 E Kanab, UT 84741 or the Page-Lake Powell HUB.

The Paria Contact Station, which serves as the permit pick-up point for Paria Canyon Overnight Permits and provides visitor information about the Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness, will be closed for the winter beginning November 19.th. The last day to collect your Paria Overnight pass at the Paria contact station will be Friday 18 Novemberth. It will reopen and resume a 7-day schedule around 2023. in the middle of March. During this time, overnight permits for Paria Canyon will be picked up at the Kanab Field Office or the Public Land Information Center in St. George.
Visitors can also apply for Coyote Buttes North permits four months in advance through an online lottery system. For more information about applying online, visit recreation.gov.
