Redpath opens mobile repair facility in North Bay | Techy Kings

Redpath, on the day it celebrated its 60th anniversary, opened a new state-of-the-art mobile repair facility at its North Bay facility in Canada.

The new facility means 8.5 million. Canadian dollar ($6.2 million) investment in the company’s North Bay infrastructure and demonstrates Redpath’s continued confidence that the Ontario city is an ideal location for its global headquarters.

15,600 sq.m. ft. (1,449 sq.m.) building consists of six repair departments, two inspection departments, welding and washing departments. Thanks to the new store, Redpath will be able to manage the entire lifecycle of any underground mining fleet equipment.

The new building features environmentally friendly features including solar-powered auxiliary power units, heated floors, wastewater collection and recycling, and recirculated air for ventilation.

Redpath said: “Jim Redpath founded the company 60 years ago with a commitment to providing the highest quality contracting services to the mining industry. From just four employees in the early 1960s, Redpath today employs more than 6,000 people on projects worldwide.
