The City of Evanston announces an update to its mobile parking payment app, ParkEvanston. The app, which was first launched in 2017. in the fall, there is now an update with a more modern user interface that allows for smoother navigation and improved transparency of parking rates and rule changes. Drivers can extend their parking sessions remotely with their smartphones using a convenient sliding scale feature, while the new ‘quick park’ feature saves users’ last used parking spaces, making paying for parking easier than ever.

“We are excited to bring this upgrade to our community,” said Lukasz Tatara, Interim Parking Manager for the City of Evanston. “The new features improve the overall parking experience, making it easier for residents and visitors to move around the community, which supports our vision of creating the most livable city in America.”

Existing users can enjoy the new features of the ParkEvanston mobile app by downloading the update, while new users can download the free app and create an account. The app can be used in approximately 2,000 parking spaces across the city.

“The ParkEvanston app has been providing contactless parking payment options for locals and tourists for over four years,” said Anne Smith, Passport’s Customer Success Manager. “We are excited to continue this partnership with the City of Evanston and provide its community with more seamless ways to pay for parking.”

Users can download the free ParkEvanston app from the App Store and Google Play or manage their parking online at parkevanston.org.
